General Questions
CCJA has a strict no refund policy, once you have made a deposit on a course we do not issue refunds. However, you do have 1 year to apply the deposit to any future classes.
If CCJA cancels a class you will have the opportunity to either use that deposit on a future class or request a refund.
Yes, CCJA will rent you a firearm which includes a holster, 3 magazines and a mag pouch. If you need specific equipment for a specific firearm or a specific firearm itself then please call our office to determine wether or not we can accommodate you.
Some classes require additional course materials and equipment. CCJA works with many state and national accreditations. If there are fees associated with these programs outside of the course, the student is responsible for those costs.
CCJA is a Certified Training School through DCJS, however we do not work for DCJS. If you have any questions or concerns about your status please contact DCJS first.

Our Learning Management System reports the completion of your course at the top of the hour after you pass the final quiz. However, if your status with DCJS is still pending, and you have received an email with a Training Completion Form please contact DCJS immediately so they can help you.
Unfortunately, no, after a course is purchased, it can not be credited back to the student. We suggest you verify the courses needed before purchasing.
Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy is a Certified Training School through DCJS, however we do not work for DCJS. You can check your application status with DCJS by clicking the link below:

The course will show as 100% completed but won’t produce a certificate. Per DCJS regulations, once you have completed the online portion, you will need to go to the range and qualify.
The course is not marked complete until BOTH the CLASSROOM portion and the RANGE portion are complete.
Yes in short you have 30 days from the date you purchase your course.
Title 6 of the Virginia Administrative Code, Agency 20, Chapter 173, Section 180 states that "Students enrolled in an online training program shall successfully complete all course material within 30 days of the first log-on (purchase date) to the training school learning management system or prior to the registration or certification expiration date or final reinstatement date."
If you do not finish the course in 30 days you will have to repurchase the course.
